The reason of reduction of growth of the population in 1914 consists in destruction by Armenians of the population of Chorus during Armenian-Muslim (Azerbaijan) slaughter, war of 1905. Armenians of village Eykezur and Gashga in 1905 several big groups had attacked on Chorus, burnt half of population of village. There were 500 smokes, which was families, houses, economy at that time in village. What had survived, rescued by flight through mountains in different villages of the Nakhchivan district. However, as the statistics shows, for 10-15 years the village again had revived, the population has reached 1600 persons

The original genocide against Azerbaijanians began in 1918 in all Armenia. Under the instruction of dashnak, the armed groups of executioners - Gnabeda Yapon and colonel Doluhanova with assistance of local Armenians had plundered the governments and had exterminated the population of village, and above escaped had used violence and had expelled. Local Armenians had seized village. Subsequently, only 192 from 1600 persons of village per 1922 had returned to native village. During this period already 283 Armenians had located in this Azerbaijan village. Armenians made 374 persons and Azerbaijanians - only 172 persons, in 1931 Armenians - 478, Azerbaijanians - 234 persons in 1926 in village. So, the ancient Azerbaijan village had turned to the mixed village. The national distinguishing had an effect not only on district, even in the village this exclusiveness obviously acted here. Both school, and club, both library, and a first-aid post, and a kindergarten were for Armenians and served them.

The genocide of Azerbaijanians began in scale of republic in 1988. Under the instruction of the government within several months all Azerbaijanians had been expelled. For last 20 years (on statistics), the reason of reduction of a population of village (with 689 up to 612) consist in the national slaughter provoked by the Armenian nationalists in 1905. Armenians with the purpose of exile of Azerbaijanians from village and their robbery had attacked village in 1905. The part of the population had been exterminated, and survived had been compelled to run. However, the genocide directed in 1918 in Armenia against Azerbaijanians, did not correspond to any international norm. Dashnak leaders Ararat (Armenia) of republic by destruction and exiles of Azerbaijanians tried to prove, as if these grounds belong to Armenians. Gangster groups of executioners Gnabeda Yapon and colonel Doluhanova, committing excesses against Azerbaijanians in Daralayaz, by means of local Armenians had wiped out Chiva, and the population had exterminated and had expelled. Only the part of refugees again had returned on the native land. In 1922 391 refugees returned the village.
