These facts can not be left without political appraisement

... Azerbaijan is a society of rich historical heritage. Today, up to 30.000 Armenians live in Azerbaijan minus those living in Karabakh. We attach great importance to protection of historical, cultural and architectiral monuments. While as destroying of Azerbaijani historical and cultural heritage of Upper Garabagh and other territories has become axiomatic for Armenian government. The OSCE mission who were investigating the facts of illegitimate settlement in Azerbaijan's occupied lands has also confirmed this fact. Armenia wants to distract world community's attention from blodshed of Azeri people by asserting groundless charges repeatedly. Azerbaijan is sharing world community's anxiety for historical heritage and hopes that all the facts proving Armenian's attempts to destroy Azerbaijan's cultural monuments submitted to the American legislation will cause much interest.

As a result of Armenia's constant destruction of Azerbaijan's heritage, over 1587 mosques and 23 madrasah (theological seminaries) were destroyed in Iravan (Yerevan), 830 mosques and 1394 madrasah in Zangezur and Uchmuazin (Echmiadzin), over 500 Azerbaijani cemeteries all over Armenia were turned into cesspits.

Historical museum of Kelbajar (one of the armenian-occupied districts), historical museums of Shusha, Agdam, stone monuments museum of Zangezur were destroyed. Along with armenian brutality in Khojaly, a Bronze Age historical monument as well as 169 libraries, 15 music schools, 1 theatre, 4 art galleries, 2 concert halls were destroyed. Also, many important manuscripts disappeared.

These facts can not be left without political appraisement.
